The departure and arrival of our tours is at the Molo La Pietra in Levanto, OR Molo dei Pescatori di Monterosso, the marina in the historic area of Monterosso al Mare.
How to reach Monterosso or Levanto by train
The arrival station is Levanto or Monterosso al Mare.
In Monterosso: once you get off the station you will see the sea in front of you, turn left and continue along the seafront promenade that will take you towards the historic center of Monterosso, at the exit of the tunnel, on the right , take the staircase that descends down to the harbour , we will be waiting for you with our Giulin! (7 minutes walk)
In Levanto: once you get off the station, follow the indication to the center and then for the ferry boat departure, we’ll wait for you at Molo la Pietra (15 minutes walk)
How to reach Monterosso or Levanto by car
If you arrive by car you have SOME possibilities : either park in the city of La Spezia or the town of Levanto, or arrive directly in Monterosso.
If you are planning to park outside the Cinque Terre, the best options are La Spezia or Levanto.
La Spezia offers several paid parking areas located close to the train station, making it easy to reach Monterosso or Levanto by train.
Levanto, on the other hand, provides multiple parking options, including paid parking areas closer to the sea and the town center, making access to the departure point more convenient.
Between the two, we generally recommend Levanto: it is less crowded, easier to manage, and offers a more relaxed atmosphere. It is also a charming coastal town with beautiful beaches and a lovely historic center. Additionally, departing from Levanto allows you to enjoy a longer and more scenic route, including a stunning stretch of coastline before reaching Monterosso.
If you are planning to park in Monterosso, exit the A12 at Levanto-Carrodano and follow signs for Levanto, then Monterosso/Cinque Terre. In summer, we strongly recommend allowing extra time due to traffic.
Once you reach the top of the hill, you will find an electronic sign showing parking availability. We suggest following the right road towards Fegina (the newer part of town), where the main parking area is located. Alternatively, by continuing left, you will reach Parking Loreto, closer to the old town.
From both parking areas, the marina is about a 10-minute walk, mostly flat and easy.
Parking in Monterosso is limited: Fegina (around 300 spaces) is usually the best option, while Loreto (around 100 spaces) fills up very quickly. During peak season (July, August, and public holidays), all parking areas may reach full capacity early in the day, so arriving in advance is highly recommended.

Where do your Cinque Terre boat tours depart from?
The departures are from Levanto and Monterosso. The main departure point for our boat tours is Monterosso al Mare, the first village of the Cinque Terre and one of the most well-placed spots for exploring the coastline from the sea. Monterosso is easily reachable by train and is the ideal starting point for sailing along the entire stretch of the Cinque Terre Marine Park.
Is it possible to depart from Levanto for the boat tour?
Yes, departure from Levanto can also be arranged. Levanto is located just outside the Cinque Terre National Park and is often a quieter base for those staying in the area.
How do you get to the departure point in Monterosso al Mare?
Monterosso is the first village of the Cinque Terre and its position allows you to sail along the entire coastline, taking in Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore from the sea. Departing from Monterosso means experiencing a complete itinerary through the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area.
